Hello, my name is Fariha

Fariha is a seasoned professional with 22 years of experience in finance, insurance, and government across the US, Europe, and APAC. At Stride, Fariha spearheads fundraising endeavours and cultivates robust global investor relations for both INR and USD funds.

She is a distinguished alumnus of Harvard Business School, complementing her education with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Quantitative Economics from Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts.

As a member of the Alumni Board of Harvard Business School, she participates in bi-annual meetings on campus alongside the Dean, faculty, and management. 

She also holds a key position on the HBS Club of India Board, overseeing a vibrant community of over 3000 alumni. 

Fariha started her career in the early 2000’s on Wall Street as an Underwriter for AIG for their multi billion USD oil & petrochemical portfolio. Thereafter, till 2011 she was Manager at Zurich Insurance for International Property Business where in addition to overseeing a team of 10 Underwriters she was responsible for billions in global reinsurance placements.

In her prior role as Advisor for India at the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry from 2011 to 2016, Fariha managed a portfolio of Foreign Direct Investments from India to Turkey, valued at approximately USD $2.5 Billion.

Previously, she served as the Founding Director at The Common Room, a platform for emerging entrepreneurs backed by patrons like Lightspeed, Sequoia, Matrix India Partners, Greenoaks Capital, and Bain & Company until 2021.

Her illustrious career includes pivotal roles such as Chief Strategy Officer at Toffee Insurance, where she led strategic partnerships to significantly boost company revenue and long-term value. Fariha is also a driving force in investment fundraising and investor relations.
