Hygge & Me

Hygge & Me

The Danish word Hygge (pronounced Hue - Gah) started appearing two years ago. Last year was even considered the year of Hygge. After recently reading an article on it, I realized it is what describes what I love.

Hygge is difficult to define in English but loosely translates into the state of being cozy, at home, with friends, unwinding, being happy, having a feeling of contentment, relaxing etc. It is also quite the opposite of another recent concept called FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).

Being at home with a cup of chai and a good book is when I am at my happiest.
