Wedding Season

It was wedding season in India this February, and Shiraz and I had two to attend - one in Mumbai and the other in Delhi.

I decided to dig out something I had been saving for a special occasion and wear it at both weddings. And since the attendees in Mumbai and Delhi were completely unrelated, Instagram was the only proof that I was going to repeat outfits within days.

(Not that anyone cares if I repeat my outfits, it is more of a self-imposed anxiety and excuse for new clothes.)

After a few weeks of online window shopping to see if I should wear something more trendy, I gave up and decided to go with what I already owned. A net kurta embroidered with pearls and sequins, lined with a silk slip and matching silk pants, it had a giant organza bow that was the highlight!

Most of all, I was super comfortable, it had room for the extra kebabs and desserts I would eat at the wedding and felt FABULOUS!
